PLAYGROUND AREA
Enjoy a fenced-in area for the young ones to play in. The playground features slides, monkey bars, a swinging bridge, and much, much more.
BEACH SWIMMING AREA
Enjoy relaxing on Lake Chatuge in our brand new beach swimming area. Located next to the playground and picnic area this is the perfect place for a day of relaxing.
OUTDOOR GRILLS
Several locations around the park offer outdoor charcoal grills that can be used by the public.
PAVED WALKING PATHS
The Recreation Park and Gibson Cove campgrounds are joined by a paved walking path that continues all the way across the Chatuge Dam. Whether you're out for a leisurely stroll, or just getting your daily exercise, the view doesn't get much better than this!
COVERED PAVILIONS
The Recreation Park has three different covered pavilions for public use. One features an outdoor fireplace, while all three feature picnic tables for outdoor dining with friends and family.
BALL FIELD
Right as you enter the park, there is a field just to your right. This field can be used by the public for all kinds of sporting activities. The field is equipped with a back stop for baseball, softball, or even kickball.
BOAT RAMP
One of Clay County's public boat ramps is located right between the Gibson Cove and Recreation Park campgrounds. This offers convenient access to the lake for your weekend getaway!
